Default What removes carbon build up on valves?

Got my "new" head back from the shop.I would like to clean up the faces of the valves without removing them.I've heard of something called Piston Clean but can't find it locally. What other products are known carbon melters.

sandpaper should work, or stove cleaner.

Why not clean the exhausts valves? Also do you think it would be overkill to mechanically clean the valves the after reassembly Seafoam the engine?

FLOW dear boy....the exhaust aren't that big a deal..the INTAKES
however, need all the help they can get... I often leave a thin coat of
the *HARD ASSED* combustion chamber cake in place (as long as it is
fairly *glossy*...if it's rough or oily I'll clean it w/the brass cup/brush and
then follow w/an MEK scrub.....
before you elect to use *MEK* READ THE MSDS...I don't want YOUR
withered goolies on my responsibilities list....

SEAFOAM...go read the MSDS...then head to the BIG BOX STORE
and grab you a quart or so of XYLENE and a pint or KERO....
15% kero and 85% xylene....do it OUTDOORS AWAY from PEOPLE
and ANIMALCULES..NASTY SHlT that!

I use JB *PRO* stuff:
http://justicebrothers.com/pages/pro...oducts_pas.htm
FISS700
also MEGAPOWER:
http://www.megapower.com/products/Ki...ER-3-PART.html
or CASTLE ( site temporarily down )
NO METHANOL / ETHANOL / and ISOPROPYL *ONLY* for WATER REMOVAL
from the fuel tank

My intake valves are still shiny clean? 120k. Even my 300k 240 was the same way.

Soak in Chen dip for a couple days, dust with brake clean and kiss with bench grinder softer wire weel makes them come out nice and is minimally invasive.
