its from a benz to its metric. and the shape of the flare is rounded like a bubble
so im going to say its a metric bubble flare you can measure the size in milimeters and it will be a xmm metric bubble flare.

good luck trying to get new fittings in the USA. ps you cant get new fittings but you probably already knew that.

One side of the Volvo oil cooler hose is a light-12 and the other is an English-8 or perhaps a light-8 and English-12 I can't remember excatly what the hose guy said, I did have to go to a metric hose place to have one made.

On the Volvo hose the flare seal is separate from the steel tubing, it's not welded or crimped or permanemtly on there. I bought a few compression ferrules at a local truck hydraulic shop to repair the 740 oil cooler I have on my 245, and just cut the old off and sleeved the new ferrule onto the old steel line, which is 12mm OD. Once the new ferrule is tightened onto the line it is crimped onto it.
You can cut them off and put new ferrules on the steel tubing if there's enough line left that wasn't crimped in the first place. Or you can have a shop cut the line and weld on a new end then put a new ferrule on it.

The theads on the Oil Cooler are M22x1.5 and it takes a 1-1/16" wrench on the Oil Cooler Line Nuts.
