I know topics similar to this have been numerous so I will apoligize in advance. Here's my story, I wanted to get some aftermarket wheels for a more sporty look come Summer, but at the same time I can get Hydra's this week for $200 with ok tires.

I'll probably get the Hydras no matter what just to have or sell...

I am intersted in Ronal Wheels specifically R28 and R7 styles, and I emailed the US HQ in California and they basically told me I could get pretty much what ever I wanted in most styles.

My question is really is whether I would have a problem with rubbing with a wider tire than the Hydras. I know people have had problems with the Hydra when running a 225/50 setup, and those wheels are only 6.5". The Ronal wheels run at 7.5" wide at 16" and 8.5 at 17" so I am worried that a wider wheel and tire will cause some trouble under the car when cornering. My car has been lowered about 1-1.25" via EuroSport springs so just take that into consideration as well...

As always thanks for everyone's time... and I hope this isn't too long or too dumb a question..
