I do agree with you! I would much rather have Kaplhenke parts but they are way out of my budget!

But I still hope that those Myranes parts are not so bad anyway? Hard to say before I get the damn thing running...

Awesome build. I love the Widebody with the more squarish Bertone styling.
Thank you and all you guys!

Unfortunately my budget and time to spend with this car is quite limited. Mostly because I have other Volvos also...

But I'll try to get my sh*t together and finally do something with it!!

I've always heard rust was always an issue on Bertones. Seems to hold true too. Heard it was something to do with Bertone Body/Coachworks's lack of rust proofing?

Do/did you notice lack of undercoating as compared to a regular 240 series in most or particular/certain areas?

I think the actual undercoating was quite the same as in the other 240's? I think the problem was more with the rust proofing on the other parts of these cars?
In the end of the 70's Volvo had serious rust issues with all their models.

Great looking Bertone. A few things (that relate ONLY to taste) that I would do different, but keep up the good work!

^+1 Even in the first photo the more squat look of these models looks good, but what you have done with this one just takes it to another level. It is truly beautiful and classy, and it looks the part from every angle.

The choice of drivetrain just puts the cherry on the cake in my opinion, what a great combination. It really had to be a big cube 16v turbo redblock for that car.....

..... or possibly a 6-cylinder+T whiteblock or V8.

Looking forward to see more progress.

Hey! What's happening to this beast these days? Any updates?

Another question i have thought off... As you are using an m90 gearbox, where did you get the strengthened 3rd gear syncros from? I will be using an m90 shortly too, and i am looking for options to make it last a bit longer. Not that i am thrashing gearboxes, just to be on a safer side of things breaking.

Cheers! ;)
