My new 245 aka the therapeutic wagon.

I picked up a new 245 a few weeks ago, my 4th or 5th 240. I've always wanted a light or mid-blue wagon and this came up on CL as a possible parts car for a ridiculously cheap price so I jumped on it. Also, as I am recently separated from my cheating whore wife, it gives me a project to work on to keep me busy and out of trouble.
Therefore I've been calling it my 'therapy car'...

the day I towed it home.

PO said it was not running and needed a fuel pump, but it started right up once I charged the battery.

It would occasionally do a no-start, so it went up on blocks for a week or so to get it sorted and ready for use.

Swapped in some non-yellowed lenses and corners, re-silvered the turns, put on the sirius/novas that I just had powder coated at work, swapped the wiring harness, alt, radiator, added map pockets, uncracked e-brake console, and any missing trim.

Some obligatory hipster shots from the industrial area where I work.

It's back up and running great now. It will get lots of use this summer for sure!
B230F/AW70, clean title, 3rd owner, tons of receipts since new, new or recently replaced by PO: entire exhaust and cat, T-belt/water pump, shocks/struts, main fuel pump/filter, many other doo-dads.

Car is also set up to be towed behind an RV, it has a custom front bar, is wired for lights to the front, and has a driveline decoupler feature that is really pretty neat!

Wow,awesome turn around.

Sorry to hear about the wife, better to find out sooner than later.

Best wishes,
Matt

Thanks..
The color is 213 mid-blue.

The wife was a bitch anyway so no great loss there.. Hurts some, yes; but I'm feeling actually much better now that I'm free again.

I still have the light silver 1983t yes.
The old 86dl 'silver' in my sig is gone now, but the new blue one is also an '86 and has blue interior in pretty great shape ! Needs a driver seat cushion, and some rear trim still.
There's some dings here and there in and out, but that'll just make it easier to throw abuse at it and not give a damn.
Go to pnp, toss firewood in back, drive the crap out of it, haul the dog around, teach my son to drive...
All the things I need to do with a wagon but hate to do to the nice turbo car.

Nice vagen PDX240...I cant think of a better way to take your mind off of the 'bull'ish you're going through than to put some love into that beautiful blue brick you have there

Peace, Love, and Bricks,

Looks good. And as much of a pain in the ass it is to work on cars, it's great therapy. Good find!

The driver's side is the 'pretty' side, the passenger side has a little crappy re-spray action and a door ding.
