My car smells, somethings burning. possibly clutch. The thing is i idk what burning clutch smells like some of you might, but you cant smell my car lol.

so how would i check my clutch without having to tear into it to much?

get up to about 5km/h and then shift in to 3rd while giving it gas.

if your clutch is fine, it will grab and your car will start jumping.. if your clutch is gone. it will slip.

The clucth smells horrid. Like petko said, throw it in 3rd and floor it. If the clutch is bad, you'll know

Mine filled the cabin up with smoke

Sometimes that drive shaft bearing will smell like burnt rubber if it's going out. You can prolong it's life by pulling back the rubber cover and putting lube on the bearings.

Thanks guys! 5km/h is 3.10685596 mph ???

lol

I will try this tonight and ill go ahead and check the drive shaft bearing.
No plastic bag although great thought.

If your clutch is bad enough to smell, you'd know it was going out.
I bet on leaking fluids or a dragging brake.

Regards, Andrew.

Ill check the brake. its funny, i put my interior back in and now i cant smell it.

Im starting to doubt its the clutch.
