Default Slaabs boost controller with microsquirt?

So I got a free slaab boost control valve off a 9000 from the PNP today, will a microsquirt control this directly or do I need resistors etc to make it work? It seems a little better made than the 900 version, will it pop open at 20psi? I also have a real Mac valve that I can plumb in instead that's good for 125psi, should I just use this? It's considerably bulkier.
