Is it possible to remove the ECU plug harness?

Preping my car for a v8, in the middle of stripping all the redblock parts.
I found the ECU on the passenger side and followed the harness across the dash and looks like it ties in to the dash harness?
Is that correct?
Can it be removed or unplugged somewhere with out removing the dash harness?

No it's integrated into the dash /main body harness.

On my '84 turbo I was able to cut those wires all the way back to the steering wheel area. There was one pair of wires (both same color) that looped back that IIRC went to the fuel relay. I had to splice those two together.
