Recently got this 245DL. 1 owner complete with the original 1975 title. Been parked since 1994. Not sure what to do with it yet. Floors are surprisingly nice still.

I see you tried to open the hood before the side shot

yeah pull goodies and crush. unless you want a super patina rod, then leave the outside alone, drop a turbo LS in it and make the suspension and driveline pristine while the outside rots away

I want the bumper center piece

Just fix the mechanics and drive it, never have to worry about it being scratched or dented. Plus it looks really cool :)

Gave it an oil change, plus new plugs, wires, and some other tune up stuff and it kinda started. The kjet unit isn't letting fuel through but it's getting fuel to it. Hoping to switch it out and have this thing running in the next week or 2

It's a little ruff and ruuusty. But if that brown 240 in the projects thread can be brought back then give it shot. You like projects?

That's flipping awesome, rock it just like that, get it mechanically good and just drive! Some people dream of that kind of patina!

Get rid of any underside rust, but leave the panels as is. It'd look cool as heck and you'll never have to wash it.

The floors are surprisingly nice, it was undercoated at some point in the past and it held up well. Switching out the kjet distributor thing this weekend to see if it'll start.
