Nope. Not in the economy lot...police have a file, so whatever. No huge damage to the car anyway.Any security cameras?
Oh yeah! Did the dash cam show anything?!
Hey locals,
My step-kid just bought his first car, an '89 M47 245. It's got a
slipping clutch, so a clutch job is happening shortly after my
next iPd delivery arrives.
The previous owner is a friend of mine from Hornby Island. He
tells me the clutch has been slipping for 5-6 months.
I know he's been babying it, and it does not see a lot of miles,
but anticipating that the flywheel might be badly burnt when it
comes apart, I thought I'd feel around a bit and see if anyone
local had a spare LH2.4 flywheel.
Tips on local pick-n-pull candidates are also welcome.
The car runs well, and passed aircare yesterday with no issues.
The front suspension is worn out, one of the strut inserts leaked
out all of its oil, and some stuff is loose, but I have some
perfectly good stuff I pulled from the Snot Rocket we can use to
replace the worn out stuff.
Thanks,
I am in the same boat as you, I bought a
clutch sachs for a flat and have a dog dish that was going to put
into my M47 I have. Now I am going to stick with the M46 unless I
find a T5.... Mine won't work with that clutch for sure.
I've got these for sale if you are interestedAnybody got any 240/740 wheels they're looking to get rid of? Just picked up a 1990 240dl m47!
I knew someone would have one!
I thought all of the LH2.4 flywheels were stepped?
I have a new in box clutch kit for the older flat flywheels, so
it would be worth getting a flat flywheel without even looking at
the existing one, as it would save buying a new clutch. Assuming
the older style pressure plate bolts up to what you have. If you
can dig it up, I can bring the pressure plate along.
