I just got home and had a quite the experience on the way.
When I turned my high beams on again after oncoming traffic, the car shut off for like half a second and immediately came on again (I was doing around 80kph).
During the drive it was fine before when switching on and off.
I didn't switch the high beams on again for the rest of the way.
I came to my home driveway and tried the high beams again and the car immediately stalled, but came on again (was in gear) after switching off, but this time the ABS light flickered, power steering cut out and the car only sputtered when giving a bit of throttle.
It died moments later, but started up again just fine.
I tried the high beams with engine off and they work just fine.
The only wiring I touched in the last few days was the ground strap of the valve cover because I replaced the gasket. I did not forget to put it back on. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the lights though.
Long story short, this is likely a ground issue, right? Or could it be a dying alt as well?
It's dark outside now, so I can only have a look tomorrow.
Any hints on where to start are appreciated.
Thanks.
