Without cutting coils.... :grrr:

Currently sitting on IPD lowering springs and I'd like to get another inch or two to tuck some of the wheel.

Are there any shorter springs available without going to coilovers up front?
Whats the hot tip for shorter ride height in the rear?

If coilovers in front are the only option - do you run a shorter spring combo to keep the tire out of the threaded collar/spring perch?

I appreciate good sarcasm, is that all you got?

Helpful suggestions - not trying to slam it, just get another inch or two past IPD springs...

omg just cut some coils off

this is -3 on stock springs

completely related, half my drivers door trim fell off, I reckon it looks better.

protip: use longer wheel studs and a thin wheel spacer so you can run the correct length spring when lowering with coilovers.

Cutting coils is retarded. Springs are wound flat at the ends to transfer the load, and distribute the force. Putting all that force in less contact area is retarded.

You're not going to get an inch or 2 lower without cutting springs or going with coilovers.

Thats the answer/confirmation I'm looking for. Fronts seem straight forward enough to do coilovers with coleman parts... How is the rear tackled?

Noted. I saw the studs and spacers you offer, just wish they were cheaper than adapters. Seems like a more "proper" solution to the problem.

They are pretty cheap and the same price or cheaper then quality adapters.... and no I'm not talking about the flat non hubcentric wheel adapters that are out there.

$145 for a pair of hubcentric light weight spacers and 10 long wheel studs for an odd ball car like a 240 is bargain. Before I was getting the studs cold headed the studs were 9 dollars each. Its just never gonna be cheap enough for some people I suppose.

Agreed, and I think it's the "right" way to do it as well. I just happened on some hubcentric spacers far cheaper.

just make sure to inspect em for cracks. those adapters like to fatigue and cause catastrophe.

Chewy where did you get that car? I think I owned it at one point in time

Sweet - I see 5" flat end springs are cheap and easy at coleman racing.

Can you elaborate on the double upper perches part?

Grab a set at the JY or ask in wanted and bolt them on the bottom perches.

Well I think this is excellent ;
Just throw the springs away. Set the struts and shocks where you need them and run a bead of mig-weld around the shaft..
All problems solved, car will sit exactly where you need.
It would be like a hard-tail chopper ... only ... Volvo.

If I had a spare I'd definitely do it.
