Default IAC Hoses, Catch Can Drain, Boost Cont. Placement

Hey All,

Began the great oil leak search of 2018 after building this motor in 2016. I need a new IAC hose but asked IPD last year at the garage sale and they said it wasn't available anymore. Can I just use bulk vac line to connect it to the IC piping?

If I mount the catch can here it looks like the drain will work well. Others have mounted by the brake master, I don't have the same room so I think this is it. Any issues?

No room by master

Where does the manual boost controller go from Yoshi? There's a line going from the turbo intake side to the intake mani, and another line going from two points on the turbo. I think I was told to mount it between the latter to control boost. Right now there's no control so I think boost is low like 3psi? B230FT with 15g

You can get generic pieces of hoses with premolded bends. Check out stuff like at any of the various venders like atpturbo, pegasus racing supplies, and probably summit racing to think of a few.

Isn't that a catch can already there below the cold side intake hose? That's a good spot.

BTW as far as I know those idle air control hoses are still available. Probably not cheap from Volvo but that stuff was still out there.

The last pic is the original placement of the catch can but I was told that it might not be best for draining.

I don't recommend plumbing the catch can drain back into the engine after seeing the sludge that comes out of mine.

Last I checked I just bought a set of the IAC Hoses, They still make them, I would check for them at www.eeuroparts.com

They have the silicone hoses from do88 there so good stuff.

The Catch Can location is fine, as it should still drain just fine back to the stock block fitting.
