The V8 245

not terrible gained 50hp on a cam, I'm using stock heads. I'm not planning on making a race car or anything ;-)

I was planing on doing a cam spring swap then I decided I probably wasnt going to hit my 400hp with a cam so Im going LSA supercharger swap. Started gather parts a little while ago.

Looking forward to seeing that! Any plans for the grenade that is hanging off the back of the engine?

Negative ghost rider... I think the 4L60e should last a bit longer then your 4L80e as long as I lay off the from a dig launches. I'm more worried about the 1041 grenading before anything else. Of the few that are doing this swap in stock trucks with the 4L60e I haven't heard of any tranny going Boom issues.

I think the stock rear end will last longer than the trans.

Spun the center thrust bearing on the 4.8L. The plastic patch got sucked into the motor on the modified truck manifold on the 4.8L. Pulled the heads and saw plastic stuck to the valves. Bought a new 5.3 100k miles from LKQ (would never recommend them). Installed a brand new oil pump timing chain and a BTR stage III cam. Bought a true trac rear end, and I just need to install it. I'm will probably just leave this intake stock for now.

Interesting. And yea pounding the **** out of a 200k mile trans is never a good idea. The stock axle will last just fine if you remove the crush sleeve and install a solid shim

My trans only had 104K on it. Im also not 3k dumping the car from a dig. Only one way to find out. Run it and see wha happens.
