![]() hello everyone
i was having issues with my speedometer that i replaced. now i have a working speedometer but the odometer is not working. so far i checked the gear that breaks and its fine and soldered all the joints for the motor. maybe I'm missing something that i don't know but i don't know. I've been trying to fix it for the last month now and its driving me crazy. i would like to see my odometer working. |

![]() Often the plastic gears strip out. Almost no one has a working odometer in the oldest cars.
Here is one good source on repairs: https://www.prancingmoose.com/240-odometer-repair.html

![]() I just replaced the little tiny baby gear on my odometer after who knows how many years of non working. First 240 I've had that has a functional one. Got the gear at IPD.

![]() Here's my journey. It's basically what you say that you've been through but in greater detail. Have you confirmed that the motor pins are still connected to the motor itself? Is there a piece of an old gear lodged in the mechanism?
