Default 1988 244, +T or install 1984 Turbo Motor

Hi Just like the title says, what is better install a 1984 Turbo Motor I have, or Plus T the 1988 Stock engine, it an M47 car Beige 244 totally stock

What are your goals? You can +T the engine in the car, keep it mild boost and have it run forever.

My guess would be; do the Plus T. Because its probably in better shape than the stock T. But kinda depends on the milage and which one is in better shape.

Hi Thanks for the answers so far, goals are just pretty near-stock (Same as an 85Turbo) boost, some more urgent acceleration, and fun, Miles on the Turbo engine are 150K and on stock around 220K

I would swap in the turbo motor, you won't have to make an oil drain for the turbo and it's a pretty good bet the turbo motor has better rods.

What did the 84 motor come out of? I think 84 was the year for the B23FT in the 7 series, and those have forged internals. If it is out of a 240 Turbo it should be a B21ft...in which case I'd do the +t.

Thr B21FT has the same internals as the B23FT just 92mm pistons instead of 96mm.
