Yeah... I was toying with the idea of specifically mounting a car seat in the rear of the 242 - no seats. But the kid would love to ride. Doug, the seats look fantastic.
Are you going to mount the rear LATCH point somewhere back there for when you upgrade the boy to a "convertible", forward facing, car seat? Or is that LATCH point located on the back of the rear seat?
Kudos for doing that. 240 seats and seatbelts really don't jive with modern car seats. Plus those seats look awesome.
LATCH is tits. Really wish center anchors were included in all vehicles.
Very interested. I'll wait and see what you think of the driving position. I like my H point about 1" lower than stock on a 240...
love the seats. thanks for letting me pick your brain a little over the phone.
Think we can get a few more photos of the backside of the seat with the bracket and maybe one with the bracket on the seat outside of the car if too much trouble.
That thought has crossed my mind, but 2" might be too much. Honestly, a little sheet metal trimming and I'll be fine.
The shifter ends up coming straight out of the middle of the shift box, vs the very back on a ford T5.
Im thinking it'd be almost perfect..... but you're fairly tall, having it further forwards would probably fit you better.
Love the progress, and the quality of this build. Excellent as always, Doug.
I would pay for those brackets or even pay for the cad files. WINK WINK
