Does the STS machining ac delete bracket work with teardrop PS pump?

I don’t remember if the sts machining ac delete bracket / ps pump relocation bracket works with the teardrop ps pump. For an 83 240 turbo k jet.

no, it is meant for late model (b230) pumps.

It can. I modified the IPD - Air Conditioning Bypass Kit spacer and made another washer to fit with the existing steel brackets..

I am not familiar with what washer you are referring to. I know the IPD spacer, but how did you modify it and what does the fabricated washer look like/do?

The small stainless washer or spacer I made is pictured on the top bolt between the black anodized aluminum bracket and the volvo steel bracket. I think I removed 1/4 off the ipd spacer to have the correct spacing to lineup on the crank.

I run the factory bracket that the STS piece is a reproduction of on my 83 242DL and my 84 242 GLT.

Works fine.

Remember, there are three different OEM Volvo non-AC PS brackets. The 1976-77 ZF bracket for the early external reservoir pump, the 1977-84 style used with the P-type Saginaw pumps, and the 1985-on B230 bracket, used with the later style Saginaw pumps (both external reservoir and internal reservoir). IIRC, Scott's bracket is a replica of the B230 bracket, not the B21/23 bracket. The difference is that the B21/23 Saginaw pump bracket uses three bushings, instead of one.
