It will depend on the dealer. I would search around and find out who has the best price and see if the dealer will drop ship it for you.

Going to the local dealer provides the least risk. If the glass breaks in transit to the dealer they have to deal with it.
Tasca refuses to ship/drop ship
DW Volvo is the same.

Got the seat brackets done today.
Metal goop. Tig welded for strength.

The 3" wide plate seems a bit silly, it is, but my plans changed after I bought the material. NBD.
They are stout.
Powdercoated them.

Installed, but they have to be bolted to the seats first. This was a test fit.

The factory brackets have to be cut off the seat rails. A portable band saw comes in handy. Welding to the rails was not an option. Lots of plastic guides etc and they can't be disassembled completely.

They sit 1" lower than the stock 240 seats.

I'll run the wires and put the seats in tomorrow.

Those look sweet, nice job. I need to do something similar for the rear mounting points on my M3 seats before I drive the car again. I basically did what you did for the front points but don't have anything in the rear yet

Looks good, excited to hear about how they work out ergonomically. 1" lower than stock would actually be awesome. Stupid sciatic nerve won't let me bend very far, so getting in an out of a stock 240 sucks.
