Looking to stretch your Volvo?s legs, bend some fabulous corners, soak in wonderful scenery, hang with Volvo brethren? If so, then you won?t want to miss this driving event.

The drive begins in Point Reyes Station and heads North up Hwy 1 to Annapolis. Then we turn inland along the legendary Skaggs Springs Road which has more corners than one can count. We continue to Dry Creek Road stopping off at the insanely good Dry Creek General Store for lunch. For those that want to bail after lunch and not continue to the second part of the drive you can hit Hwy 101 which is about 3.5 miles from the General Store.

The second part of the drive takes us through Alexander Valley along Hwy 128 to the North end of Calistoga. We then head West along Petrified Forest Road / Porter Creek Road / Mark West Springs Road till we intersect Hwy 101 and the final pit stop.

The morning portion of the drive will be curvy, beautiful and downright a blast.

The second portion with less curves and more open cruising, should be a mellow scenic afternoon.

Driving notes:

* The morning meeting location in Point Reyes Station is the West Marin Elementary School (click for map) parking lot at 8:30 am.
* (For those that want some tasty morning breakfast treats, just around the corner from the school is the incredible Bovine Caf? that has croissants to die for.)
* There will be pit stops along the way for photos, stretching, bathrooms and enjoying the scenery.
* Before heading on Skaggs Springs Road we will have a pit stop at the Stewarts Point General Store which has great food and bathrooms, though eating before Skaggs Springs Road isn?t advisable.
* A special note about Skaggs Springs Road, the first half of the road is rough one lane curvy madness. Though its well worth it because the second half is legendary. It will blow your mind to pieces.
* After the romp on Skaggs we will gather up the stragglers at the base of Warm Springs Dam and then head a short distance South to the Dry Creek General Store for lunch. They have a deli and even live bait if you so choose to partake.
* For those that want or need to head out, Hwy 101 is a mere 3.5 miles for the Dry Creek General Store.
* Things you may want to bring:

1.
1. A personal two way radio ?walky-talky? that has selectable channels
2. Your Camera
3. Your appetite for carving corners
