everybody leave this guy alone, if his ears are that tough...
seriously a lost cause.
btw, the work in your pics looks like poop.

I've never been good at finish work, or making things pretty. I'll absolutely admit that. It is, however, very very functional. I can measure 15 times, cut 3 times, and still find a way to **** it up. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a fabricator. Enclosures, I do it because I'm far too cheap to pay somebody else to do it. But, I've also found somebody local with a CNC router table, so I might be able to make a few decent looking things at some point.

In what fantasy world can I reference posts that I made 6 years before I first logged into turbobricks?

Are you on drugs?
I won't be mad, just tell me and your mom the truth.

You tell me. You're the one trying to argue a point with MikeP by quoting messages from 2003..

So why did you quote messages from 6 years prior to you joining TB? What possible point were you trying to make?

Seriously, I want to know.

Here's one of the posts you reference:

well .. the thing is my motor has the bumps on the outside of the block for them so ... i kind of want to tear down a 91 block and see if i can just throw in the jets to help cool down my pistons ...

but yes i think EVERY 94+ b230ft had them... it helped quiet down the piston slap and help the motors last longer so..

and if u are planning ahead w/o me i'm gonna kick u'r ass ... not like u live that far from me ... hell talk to me on AIM somtimes about this ****, and when am i gonna get pics of what u've been doing??? huh?

but yea if u want to plan ahead to build up one of these motors i'll be right there next to ya to help

Is there irony I'm missing or did you just make an honest mistake?

I don't get your point is all I'm saying. Don't take this personally, I'm not trolling, just genuinely confused.

You are saying his dopeyface argument is invalid because of a syntax error in the historical reference arrow.

The words he is saying are old posts of his that reference dopeyface.

You choose an arbitrary reason why its invalid, and it has nothing to do with the content of his posts.

Thats why you are one of "those" guys

Right, but the quote links if you follow them aren't his posts.

I's confused.

:wtf:

Help me Obi-wan Athlon, you're my only hope.

He quoted himself. For some reason, those quotes are referencing a thread that thelostartof posted in ten years ago.

Are you not seeing the words within his quotes, or what?

What. Are you smoking?

what the hell does 2003 come into it at all?

Stop being divisive.

In this post:

http://forums.turbobricks.com/showpost.php?p=4686475&postcount=37

you quoted 5 messages. If you click the "view post" link, they connect to messages made back in 2003. The text you entered doesn't match these quotes. I was just curious why this was. You were making a valid argument but the messages you quoted have nothing to do with what you entered as quoted text.

Here's the first link:

I'm getting these links directly from your post referenced above. They all link to a discussion from 2003.

If this was unintentional or a bug in the software, I apologize, I'm not trying to upset you. I'm just confused as to how or why the quoted text are linked to old messages.

You are definitely one of those people.

Search for terms in his posts and you should be able to see it.
Instead, you are arguing about the fact that the review quote function isnt working.
Do you think he went back, found an old post from Mike, and then decided to make some **** up and use that as a quote, while changing thelostartof to apachechef and didnt delete the embedded stuff at the end?

Not at all. I thought there was some linking error on the server side. I was mostly trying to let him know that there was an issue with his quoted materiel.

I see your issue with the button after "quote"
I made the quotes manually by copying the tb pseudocode, that caused the mystery.

the quotes are from here:

Yeah, I got that when you posted this earlier. I was thinking it was one of those system issues we've been having. Strange that it picked out the right text, but the way wrong thread.

My apologies for the confusion.

This thread got really interesting again.

And I still can't hear above 8,500 Hz. Even with $2,000 worth of hearing aid.

I can feel it though which is why I got me a nice Kenwood Kac-8405 driving the rear KFC-6994PS speakers. The fronts are "XYZ" aftermarket brand (Sony?) driven by the head unit.

The amp still has room to drive a sub-woofer. I may mount one if I can find a decent place to locate it.

Anyone ever mount a woofer tube through the "ski-hole"? Mind you, I've removed my rear seats and I very much doubt that I'll re-install them as I NEVER have rear passengers.

It can work. Make sure you pick a sub designed for IB use, and try to seal your trunk (good trunk seal, seal off holes behind the seat, etc.) as much as possible. Picture it as a massive sealed enclosure. Low-ish power handling, relatively speaking. But, it can defintiely work, and has been done many times.
