Default How to Test a Rain Sensor

I have a rain sensor that is supposed to fit the following cars:
2005-2011 VOLVO S40 V50 Rain Sensor -- 8648049 Bosch 1397212

I have the part, but not the car. Is there a way to test the sensor?

Not that I know of. They usually don't go bad unless someone messes them up during a windshield replacement.

throw money at it. if you make it rain properly, it'll be like a new sensor.
