either way that turbine side is really not that big @ all ... the compressor is fairly larger than most i have here

Somewhere on the turbine housing you'll see something that tells you how big it is. 12 cm^2 is what the smallest HX35Ws were, but I have a suspicion the non-wastegated HX35s were 14 or 16 cm^2.

A TD04-13c is 6 or 7 cm^2, IIRC.

Doug's HY35W was 9 cm^2, and it didn't spool 'till 3500 or so, and though that could have been hampered by his cam, it was also helped by his header.

TD04-13c is a 6cm2 but also a smaller series than the TD04HL-15g/16t/18t/19t

so a 6cm2 TD04 vs a 6cm2 TD04HL are different as the HL is a larger series just like the TD05 series so a 6cm2 TD05 is larger than a TD04HL 6cm2

no I was in full tilt by 3500rpm. It would 'spool' as low as 2000rpm (just didn't come alive to about 3000rpm). That also was when it "came on cam" as well.

that car was fun

nah, just reading back old posts he was hitting 14psi by 4000rpm on the stock B21FT square manifold.

said that proturbo mani brought it in 8-900rpm earlier. and then the external gate brought in evening quicker. and this was on a low compresion B21FT

Pardon, my bad.

Still, with the 9 cm^2 housing, I'd hope it would come in quicker than a 14 or 16 like what's shown.

i have a external wastegated 12cm2 hx35.... so they do come with the 12cm2 housing non internal wastgate... its believed to come off a generator... im not selling it or anything just saying. oh and the a/r on mine is stamped on the inside of one of the exhaust enteries.
