Walbro or Deatschworks?

I'm looking to upgrade my fuel system after a trip to the dyno indicates I'm running out of fuel. Should I stick with the tried and true walboro 255 or something from the DW catalog? I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, I'll be attempting to braze a larger nipple or AN fitting onto a stock fuel rail. The car has k-jet piping which appears to be 8mm up to the fuel filter. I'll just bypass the k-jet pump and use an 8mm line to the rail from the 740T filter. Anyone know for sure the size of a stock filter outlet, I'm thinking it's 12-14mm?I don't plan on running E-85 anytime soon, so I'm thinking 8mm all the way through will give me enough volume on pump gas.

if no plans for e85, I'm sure you can get a walbro cheap. I've got a walbro 255 in my buick and its made 450whp on pump gas but doesn't have much room left on that pump. Dw301 in my s10 since its on e85 and I wanted to have plenty of overhead with it,

Walbro 450, quieter than a 255 and better built. Cheep and will always be up to you needs. Never will you need a upgrade

I run a DW301 on my Evo specifically to avoid the whine of the Walbro. Have no issues with fuel.

I can check the size of the filter sock when I get home. I have a new one waiting to swap in (stock 93 245 in tank obv)

Have a DW200 in my n/a grey car and a DW300 in my red wagon. I've been happy with them. I like that you can purchase directly from Deatschworks so you know you're getting the real deal.

EDIT://
On my grey car, I recently replaced the sending unit and rewired the intake pump as I have deleted the main pump under the rear siders side. I drilled out the feed and return ports and ran 6an bulk head fittings with 6an hose from the sending unit to the OEM filter which on my '90 is under the rear driver side next to where the main fuel pump is. Of course I didn't really take any pictures

Here's a picture of the sending unit.

Nice this what I've been envisioning with the larger pump, I'm going to try brazing a -6 fitting onto a stock fuel rail and run 3/8 line back to front. Or pony up for a nuke fuel rail. If I only run 3/8 supply will it overwhelm my 5/16" return through my kirban adjustable FPR and raise the pressure too much?

I run a dw200 on my 940 turbo....Precision 5531 660cc injectors and I'm definitely not running out of fuel at 25psi! The dw is super quite compared to a walbro 255. The dw is actually quieter than my stock pump was!!! Have only had it for about 4 months so time will tell about the quality.

I don't know for sure but I wouldn't think so.

This looks good may look to go this route also.

Was it just a universal fit pump you used?

The DW200 pump in the pictures above is one of their universal fit ones, yes.

DW has changed their website around and now it won't allow me to pick a universal pump to purchase. It wants a make and model which of course Volvo isn't one of the choices. That's obnoxious.

Oh, on the model year if you go all the way to the bottom there is a "0" choice which then gives you a universal option to purchase. That's less than intuitive website design.

Anyways, it's this one:

Is that Walbro 450 a gearotor instead of roots style pump?

Answering my own question.

The 255 pumps I am familiar with I have never disassembled, are gearotor.

The 450 pump is a twin turbine pump is quieter and more thermally stable.
