![]() I think I was told a rubber gasket/spacer..... looks like it might be what you have! Shoot, do you have a way of accurately recording the dimensions of those parts, I want to make them for mine since I think it's unlikely I'd be able to find two sets of hardware (even one at that). Nice stuff, btw, they will be a sweet addition once installed!

![]() I just got done with putting in power mirror switches in the dash. Per installation instructions this is the alternative option but I made them fit into one spot instead of two
![]() picture of the current set up - last two switch spaces are reserved for fog switch and evacuation fan switch (same as regular fan switch) ![]() next pictures show why I switched to the new rear window gasket - I still need to replace the passenger side ![]() ![]() car that got me into Volvos. 97 GLT - It was stock when I got it in 2002 or 03 ![]() I picked these up from an E21 (first 3 series BMW) ![]() they are 7" wide by 3" deep by 3 1/2" tall plus bracket. I would like to install these but not sure if they are close to the same size as ones from "volvo" for those who need the installation instructions - shows where exactly to mount them Also does anyone know if a relay from a 740 is the same as 240s? Did the rest of the car have that trim around on the bottom of the windows? I have only ever seen one 245 with it and I tried to pull it from the car but it seemed to bend when I tried to take it off, how do you get it off, is it glued/adhesive. Is it a factory option or something aftermarket? |

![]() I think it only came on 240 for one or two years. Yeah it had it all around. the rears you have to remove the window inorder to get it. Not only is it glued with double tape but also riveted with 3 or 4 rivets under the glass seal.
The dude with the bagged blue 245 has this "poop" on his also update - "new" wheels ![]() Last edited by Jack; 05-04-2016 at 01:47 AM.. |

![]() I like your 245. Looks like it's been fun so far and a good cost effective build. Keep it up.
Seeing the mustard yellow parts car made me think I would have shed a tear if it had been a 242 vs a 244; it looked super clean.

![]() How did you convert the rear cargo floor to a late model version? I know it is the same size, but there seems to be a few areas that don't fit. did you cut the corners of of the late model floor?
Any pictures of the floor. Nice build. You are making some good upgrades.

![]() Thanks everyone
kammer: good eye Yes I did. The only place that it does not fit is next to the tail gate I first pealed the carpet and off in the area where it needed to be trimmed. rough cut with a saw and finished with a sander to make it work/look right. Then I just stapled the carpet to the bottom and trimmed the excess. Also used a little bit of 3m glue. ![]() ![]() side note: i have a ton of parts that need to be installed. r sport cluster 3 map lights 25mm rear bar poly bushings self adjusting 3rd seat seat-belts fogs power windows lower tie bars - installed last night ![]() ![]() Last edited by Jack; 05-04-2016 at 01:50 AM.. |

![]() While TB was down I installed a driver adjustable seat bottom on the passenger side. 4 14mm bolts hold the old bottom in place. The hardest part was fixing the springs. I only used 4 hog rings and didn't even have to touch the seat back
![]() ![]() now the passenger side can be tilted up and down like the driver side Last edited by Jack; 05-04-2016 at 01:57 AM.. |

![]() the seat upgrade is nice.
today swaped my 22mm ipd bar for a 25mm - according to ipd "..a larger (25mm/1 inch) rear bar for vehicles that are going to be lowered or are driven by enthusiast that wants more roll resistance, and understands they may encounter some oversteer in extreme cornering." ![]() ![]() ![]() my favorite oversteer corner is one leading out of Antelope pick and pull... was nice with the 22mm bar. Should be great with the 25mm ![]() installed new torque rod bushings old vs "new" ![]() picked up a 960 efan at a JY Last edited by Jack; 05-04-2016 at 01:59 AM.. |

![]() I like to take my breaks all the way to the metal on all my cars...
replaced front breaks and switched over to vented rotors. Found out the hard way that the non-venter rotors use smaller calipers. So I had to swap over to wider ones. Luckily I had 3 sets to choose from ![]() while there I repacked front wheel bearings and took off the dust shield. I kept the center on there because without that section the rear hub seal gets exposed from the back I also noticed that my IPD outer tirerod end boot split after being on there for about a year. ![]() Last edited by Jack; 05-04-2016 at 02:01 AM.. |

![]() Got rid of my original arm rest (with no cup holders) for the rare late style with 4 cup holders. Who says this wont work with the early style center console mounted seatbelts....

![]() installed arm rest. after 3 days in the car it unglued at the base of the arm. Now I need to re-glue it. The 240 really wants to be without cup holders
![]() ![]() some major updates this week... out with the old AT "new" m46 from redwood (got it for stupid cheap ![]() old aw70 ![]() while waiting for the parts to arrive I decided to swap to power windows. I haven't found any decent front door cards in blue so I used black ones from a parts car. ![]() also installed 2 out of 3 map lights that I have while completely ruining the b pillar trim. front light has the rubber spacer and headliner protector rear has just the while clip - Again thanks to "prof" for hooking me up with this setup ![]() ![]() reran some wires correctly since I had "most" of the dash appart swaped in my spare 10 bar and volt "r-sport" gauges so I can sell my old ones. also replaced "turbo" gauge for "economy" gauge since this wont be a turbo anytime soon... ![]() scored a NOS temp gauge on ebay but for the 7 or 9 series for stupid cheap. Thinking about running it next to the eq when the "r sport" cluster will be installed ![]() ![]() ![]() I want to make a cover for it so that it will match and be protected, any suggestions what to make it from?
