How is your gas mileage proof of anything? My dd 242 with a B23F, bone stock 530, b cam, and M47 easily pulls over 30mpg on 87 octane.

ok so it works

the really clever bit will be finding out exactly why. not using big words and pretending to sound clever.

these need proper research will precisely milled grooves and research

an excellent uni project for anyone!

I am new to this forum but like many of you found that thinking outside the box is not a readily accepted practice when it comes to the grooves that Singh discovered. It doesn't seem to be a science as much as it is common sense. Somender himself told me to think of it this way. "The groove needs to do its job ~ Like blowing into the fire with the aid of a tube ~ Delivering and guiding the puff towards the stagnent portions to achive a quicker light up !

Have you seen " Lord Neptunes " 3 headed spear which he holds ??? Similar to that ~ You place 2 smaller channels on either side of the existing center channel ~ aiming towards the valve guides ~ Thereby activatinfg the stagnent charge into two distinct ~ Clock and Anti clock wise spinns ! need not start from the bottom of the center channel ! Just 2 small deep channels aiming at the extreme ends ~ To get the mixture into a swirl ! Next the compression needs to go up at least 40 thou " shave " !or around 180 to 200 psi ??? remember it is a cast iron head !

At either rate I have three seasons and about 20,000 mi logged. Most impressive is the cleanliness of the oil. And I will say that if that is all it did it was worth it. But there is so much more. I have picked up about 2 to 3 mpg depending on driving habits. Low end torque and throttle response are great on this 1969 MGC 6 cylinder. Direct drive as Singh refers to it, 4th gear in overdrive at 800 rpm and all I need to do is step on the throttle to regain traffic speed. No chugging just power. The head is stock but shaved .060. Flat top pistons, .043 gasket, stock cam and of course a 123 Ignition system. Best recorded mpg is 27.4 on the highway, Normal is around 24 for this car. Car is quieter and no sooty exhaust as is common on these British cars.
I'm sold on this idea and thought I would share my experience and the comments of Mr. Singh.
