240 Tips for installing outer window scrapers?

Hi, I bought outer window scrapers from redwoodchair. They are high quality...no issues there, I just CANNOT get them in the channels no matter how much soap and water I use. Any tips? Tricks? The ipd video is useless.

If helpful, I've got a 1990 245.

Were you able to get all the old scraper junk out of the channel?

Mine came out in very hard pieces and required digging out the last with picks and small screwdrivers. Once clean, spread the channel a bit until it fits.

It took forever but yes they came out. Did you have to open up the channel all the way down or just the ends?

I pried the channel open as required, where required and only as much as required.

They dimple press the original scrapers in, it took much more prying than I thought it originally would, but they went in eventually. Good luck!
