M90 part number

I searched through the docs I have and only saw the same number with a -7, no -8. :-(

Can anyone look up this part number and tell me which model M90 it is for?

1023650-8

I thought I had them all, but I guess I'm wrong

thanks

Jon

I'll take a look on vardis tonight. Any idea what year car etc? Would help in reducing search time.

What kind of part is it? I mean, only the last number after the dash is different...

Tell me what part it is and I will probably be able to answer the question.

It's my (now milkyblue's) M90, Fredrik.

I think it came from a 1998 car, but I'm not sure.

OK... I don?t have a clue what to look for.

I still need to know what to look for...
Is it the number of a complete gearbox?
Is it the number of a part connected to the gearbox?
Where on the part is it written?

I have all the numbers but I don?t know what to look at or where to look!!!

I can?t do a search for all Volvo part numbers there is. That is not possible.

Have you got the part numbers for each M90 gearbox, Fredrik?

I can't look at mine now as it's crated up awaiting collection tomorrow, but it could help Jon when he gets it.

So... I still have not got my question answered, but should I take that as the number you are asking about is the number of a complete gearbox and not a part?

EDIT:// Yes, I have the number for all M90 gearboxes for the redblocks. They are all listed in the M90 thread.

After further looking at the part numbers (VADIS, catalogues, etc. etc.) I have come to a conclusion.

I can?t find none of the numbers you mentioned (1023650-7, 1023650-8).

No gearbox, no gearbox part or gearbox accessory even has a single number starting with 10xxxxx-x so either the number is wrong or the number you have posted is not a part number.

Post here to show this part number exists in the Volvo M90 history.

Off to all I need to know about M90. And I want one!

Yes, 13 years+ too late.

Hi
I had this same fun with my M90.
Apparently, the number that you need is on a paper sticker, similar to that found on a rear axle.
Also similar to a back axle, it is mostly missing by the time we come to look for it. This leaves only the number cast into the casing to be found and as the sticker isn't there you don't know what you're missing!
This number probably means it's a M90 or something equally as useless (-it's the same number as on mine). All the info I could find on line relate to the numbers which had long gone.
Tim

I think that's just the part number of the case. Front and back halves might be numbered separately, haven't checked. Many parts of the M90 have Volvo-style numbers but those have never been available to the consumers. To my knowledge Volvo always sold a complete transmission.
