That was it! Fixed the problem.

What I needed to do was add a 50/50 mix of blinker fluid to the blinkers.

Byt forreal, that last pic was the issue

See? It's always the blinker fluid, nobody ever checks the blinker fluid first. Good choice on using 50/50, saves a little money.

Based on the quality of that 'slice', you might want to spend a little time going over the car and doing some electrical clean up.

Hardest part is finding time when I work as much as I do, but I get as much done as I can on my days off.

On most of cars we did import from the famous USA we did find "electrical solutions" like this.

Second to Pakistan, still in front to India :-)

good luck, you will need a lot of luck if the p.o. did "work" several times on your car.

good night, your car should be named "Lukas - the prince of darkness", Kay

P.S. electrical fan to cool down this kind of "splice" is a solution too

Lol The demons will be exorcised. I just worked on a truck recently and it had a wonderful hodge podge of crappy wire taps and splices.

50/50 mix of blinker fluid and what? Don't forget the LED additive if your bulbs require that.

You have to take the previous owner out of the car in stage

It takes an extra few min to solder/shrink tube wiring... takes you hours trying to figure out why your car doesn’t start without blinker fluid

We are gonna add a blinker fluid level monitor.

This is most certainly previous owner hacker work. He hasn't had the car that long. The stage zero plus is moving along well.

Lol efan is the ALWAYS the answer, that made me laugh. Where does that wire bundle sit? As in, whats it for, gotta be something inportant to make the car not crank.

It all depends on which car you obtained to bring the love for volvos. If you have only have a 7/9, just like I have, you really don't see why people **** on them so much.. I love my car, and try to do the best work I can on it. Like fixing those PO hackjobs! Looks pretty terrible

Perhaps waiting for a short circuit induced conflagration with a subsequent insurance claim to follow. Honest, it really was a Haggerty Condition #2 car!. Saves on the towing costs to send it to the knackers yard.

Figured it is part of the remains of an alarm system on left inner fender.. People **** on all kinds of cars because is their reason. If all you do is judge a book by it's cover then you'll never like a car like a 7/9 series.

$1 test light connected to the starter solenoid wire. Crank key. Light go on? Takes 30 seconds to track down if your starter is getting a signal or not.

I have triple a so I pay 1 fee per year for unlimited towing. And also, #2 problem car? Out of all the cars in the world to have issues and hagerty says a 740 is #2, they either smoke heavy doses of crack cocaine or are just drunk.
