Default the blue bullet build!!

EDIT: there are a lot of photos so make sure you have a few mins..... lol

ok guys hear it is the official blue bullet project thread, i hope to have most of it done by end of summer 2011 funds permitting, my volvo madness started in late november 2010 shortly after wreaking my 90 chevy Beretta GT, i needed a car asap and i liked the boxy look of the 83 245 so i bought it, then completely fell in love with it.... has not let me down once, pretty good for a now 28 year old all original car

what im starting with:

a 1983 volvo 245 DL

has the 98hp B21A and the BW55 trans

horrible hwy mileage

at 100 KPH it sits at 3600 rpm :0

slow as a slug

"rolls" with the corners

what i want:

a decent amount of power(say 160 to 180 HP)

better acceleration

better handling

better mileage

and the ability to show the local hondas who is the boss.... lol

parts i have acquired:

IPD 25/25 sways

polly bushings

IPD adjustable panhard bar

IPD strut tower brace

billestine HD's all around

IPD wagon springs

IPD skid plate

adjustable chamber plates

a 1984 B21FT engine with 46k complete!!

a 84 M46 trans

some K-jet stuff....

a brand new turbo engine harnes

stuff i need:

clutch peddle box and cable/linkages for the M46

new hoses and such, vital fluids ect

stuff i want:

new break callipers all around

new tie rod ends

tint the windows

and a few other little things

if you have any suggestions please feel free to voice them

parts are in storage, or on hold for final pament so pics soon to come of the goodies

pics of car
what it looked like when i got it

what it looks like now

makes sense. i completely under stand you want to keep it as original as possible. i go to alot of classic car shows and stuff, and there is nothing like a car that has all the original stuff on it.

He can make just as much power on the B21. 200whp on kjet is easy.

Those tires should help your mileage on the highway.

ok i know i'm probly going to get a lot of flak for this but i dont care.... i love sun visors!!! they add to the car

anyway i had this chevy blazer sun visor laying around so i decided to fit it to my car

geting an idea of what i had to do

after about ten mins i decided to make my first cuts

now for mock up

i figured out that it needed to be 8 inches shorter(4 from each side) taking in to acount cut width (1/8th x 2 cuts) i had to cut 3 and 3/4 off, all taped for test fit

still not quite right so i did this

but it was too much of a V for my likeing( the car looked like it was sad:(
so i took the clamp off and slightly V'd the two joints and presto!!!

now i just need to fiber glass and epoxy it, paint, atatch and done!!!
btw i want to hear what you guys think of it?

Well props for doing it.
But damn that is ugly.
I'll hold final judgment for after you finish it.
