Default white block head swap question

Is there any reason a 1998 s80 head wouldn't work on a 93 960? I can get one cheap and I have read that the ports are larger than the 960 head and that the bigger 960 cams are good for some hp in the s80 head. The s80 head in question does not have variable valve timing.

First year for S80 was 99, so make sure it's a 99 S80 head not a 98 S90 head.

Anyway, the S80 head has VVT and I don't think it will work.

A 98 S90 head may be the same? Not sure though.
