Vintage 140 bumper on a 164?

Will a 140 series bumper,like below, fit on a 164. I really dislike the bumpers on my '75 164 and I don't even care much for the older style either. I'd really just like something smaller and less obtrusive. I can fabricate brackets to mount it just wondering if it would fit width wise.

That 72 skinny bumper is on bumper 'irons' not shocks.

Your best bet probably would be a 'mini commando' from a 73 which is skinny but 3/8" thick and on shocks like your car.

That said I have an early 140 front bumper for $100 plus shipping.
