Hello everyone,
Here is the background;
A) I am using a Volvo 240 5 bar Oil Pressure Gauge and Sender (the sender is the one with two electrical connection points)
B) Have converted the main/center portion of my dash to use 3 Speedhut Gauges, which also means I no longer have the stock low oil pressure warning lamp
C) I have swapped the engine, so I am no longer am using the stock Volvo engine harness.
I am looking to add a low oil pressure warning lamp to my custom dash gauge pod. I have a couple questions about how to wire it up:
1) Regarding the two electrical connections on the volvo oil pressure sender - is one for the gauge (variable resistance) and the other for the warning lamp (completes circuit to ground which illuminates the lamp)?
2) Or are both connections on the sensor sending the same resistance value?
Thanks for any help on this topic.
