1967 Amazon 122S

This particular situation, the shop knew they were In the wrong. I brought the car to the shop with theee keys and got it back with two, I searched the trunk and found the broken key under the trunk mat. When I confronted him, he confessed, lol.

In a side note, have not had a chance to attempt to adjust the cables. The kiddo is keeping me busy!

Had read plenty about the key breakage issue when I first got my Amazon, and filed it away in my "things to look out for someday" spot; became a bit more relevant when mine broke off in a parking lot. Was able to extract the piece and get the car home with a spare key, then promptly ordered the pushbutton start kit from Swedish Embassy http://sw-em.com/Broken%20Vintage%20Volvo%20Ignition%20Key.htm

Easy install, provides a bit more security if you locate the button in an obscure location. I used the unused light switch hole in the lwr left corner of the dash underside.

Interesting. I was able to get a Volvo replacement form Joe Lazenby in Carlisle PA. He owns Susquahanna Spares and has dozens of Amazons.

Your in Middletown?

Yep, just south of the canal. Got my Amazon back on the road last month after a strip/paint and interior refit. Made her debut at Middletown's Cars & Coffee last Saturday.

Was beginning to think I was the only Amazonian in Delaware.

Got several items from Joe myself; great source, especially if you're looking for salvaged parts.
