working on the car and its getting there. Its actually a different color than last time around, this time its

closer to what its supposed to be. The orange is still there, just when its out in the sun.

Lots of stuff

done... but still gotta get up early and plug away at it. Goes to SVS tomorrow afternoon for the cam

install.

Enjoy,

Doug

Was the painter :gulp: during the first job, or the second? :booty:

It's going to be hard

to match that paint if it's a different color every time it's sprayed. I definitely like this color a LOT more

than the first time around, and I see why it looked different every time you showed us a car that was this

color...it WAS different.

Hello Doug,

I love how your car turned

out! I think you've done an outstanding job putting it together. (I've read through your documentation on

it) To bad you're so far away! I'd love to see it. I only hope my wagon comes together as well, although I

still don't know what color it will be.

i think i liked the brighter orange flake look a

little better... might have to wait and see some pics outside in the sunlight all put together before i deside.

Still looks 100% better then it was :hitit:

and i see you did pull the bottom trim off as well

That looks great! Now I think you need a black

and grey version of the GT stripes!

ACtually, I haven't put the lower trim back on

yet. It does tie it rather well (i need to pick up the clips today).

You guys should see it with the

front bumper, looks freaking awsome. I"ll get some more pics on tonight.

Doug

PS, Robin and Mike I

think I just pee'd myself laughing! OMG hilarous

Doug,

Kudos on the car. Looks great, even

better than the first time. Someone asked before, and I'm curious as well, how much it cost and how much prep

work you did? I'm looking at doing a complete color change, with engine bay prep sometime this summer hopefully.

I have quotes from $1500 to $2500...

Hot damn Doug! That looks so much better than

the orangy color!

Makes me not want to wait to get my 244ti painted and lookin good, but I have to wait

until I am done with my mods! And I can't be done with my mods until I get $$$!!! Ahhhh! It'll be

months!!!

I need some cash dammit! Fortunatly I am not paying for the paint job, but I still can't

friggin wait.

Once again, good lookin brick Doug.

Geeze Doug, you gonna drive that or put it under

glass? It's almost too perfect IMO - I'd be too damn paranoid about chips and such to take it out of the

garage. You'd absolutely freak if you got within 10 feet of my car with all of it's waves and other

imperfections. I just got to a point with the bodywork where I said "screw it - it's close enough" and drove it

to my paint guy.
I should get some pic up of my car since the recent paint job... color's not too far off

from yours. It's like your painter was shooting for cimaron red and missed both times :badboy:
Damn nice,

though.

Doug my man,

If it goes as fast it it

looks you'll run 7's!!
That is a sweet color bro.
Now get that injection system on there!!!

Hello. Very, very nice! I?m sure it looks a bit

different in natural light, can?t wait to see how it looks when all the trim, etc is back on.

Thanks guys!!! Well, had the first incident

already. SVS after putting in my cam took the car around the block got into some boost and ended up blowing off

the elbow of my IC piping right into my hood giving me a pretty good sized dent going out. My mistake, the set up

I had done was goofed up. Good news is it didn't hurt the paint so those paintless dent removal places (I've

used them before they work quite well) can fix that in 10 minutes.

lol

And I was 5 minutes to late

to catch the car really in the sun but this is a good close

idea!

Still haven't washed it.. I will in the morning

:D

Great look, now your wheel wells and tires

look like crap compared to the paintjob. That car needs some flames now, maybe some of those "ghost" flames that

can only be seen at certain angles or certain lighting. Or maybe do a Starsky and Hutch style graphic .

Looks great. Dan242tic
