Hello,
I have volvo 760 b230ft from 1990 and I want to install cruise control.

I have just find set of cruise control from 940 for acceptable price:

+some additional parts from the seller:

Will it fit to my post-lifted 760?

I know that I need to buy "indicator lever", because it's different:

And my 760 lever:

That's another question -> lever from 940 has just 4 cruise control wires, lever from 760 has 5 wires.

According to https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/FAQPDFVersions/CruiseControl.pdf just indicator lever may be different.

Can you please advise? Will this set (from first and second photo) fit my 760?

Shouldn't a 1990 Volvo 760 already be equipped with cruise control? As far as what will fit I vote for 1988-1990 760 and maybe 1991 940SE (960 Turbo). 1992-1994 960 has different plug-in on the combination switch (turn signal stalk). 740/940 has a different steering column.

Unfortunately no, cruise control in 1989/1990 760 was an accessory on EU market.

But I think I got an answer :)

In all 740 / 760 / 940 / PRELIFTED 960 was an "old type cruise control" (without +/- regulation of the speed). It has always 4 wires.

Just 960 mk II has new generation cruise control with speed regulation (+/- button on the side) and it has 5 wires.

So for prelifted 960, or to my 760 i need this lever:

Additional information.

There are 2 types of "old type cruise control" for 740/940 :oogle:
On the first photo (in my first post) there is new generation with electric "buttons" mounted on the pedals. (I am going to use this set on my 760)

On the second photo the "buttons" are just "pressure buttons". There you can check how it works:

:)

So...

Tomorrow I am going to buy both sets from my friend, next week I'll get the cruise control lever for my 760.

I think I will do a photo report of the assembly process :)

Thanks for the details & pictures, I'm also putting a cruise on my 940 turbo, the question I have is concerning wiring & connectors did Volvo use the same wiring harness or will I need to get wiring & connectors from donor car ?

You'll need to get wiring & connectors from donor car. Cruise Control is separate installation, and the wiring is not factory installed.
