244 heater hose routing

'82 244 Turbo

I can't recall which of the two heater hoses goes to which fitting on the firewall, or does it really make any difference?

Diagram for b20, states it fits 240, 260
According to this diagram the return pipe is on bottom connection

Same answer looking at a B21FT motor in an '83 244. Top hose comes from the head. On the other side of the firewall, that top nipple runs to the heater control valve.

A 240 turbo uses a different hose for the block to upper hose location on the firewall. But I believe you can use the n/a hose if you have to.
