Thanks for all the feedback - really appreciated.

At the end of the day I went with the IPD turbo back kit.

OEM downpipe $900+
Aftermarket downpipe $900+
IPD Downpipe $900+
IPD entire stainless exhaust with downpipe and cat $750



I don't try to understand these things anymore - but for the extra $300-$400 I'll go with what looks like a much better design and manufactured IPD product. The exhaust will likely outlive the car when all is said and done - so the extra spend is fairly negligible over time.
