Well if anyone is curious, or does some searching to find this thread, I just finished installing a Bosch 044 fuel pump. It's super noisy, and I may put it in the tank, but right now it is in the primary pump location (for better or worse!!)

Got the pump here Bosch 044 / 61944 Universal Inline Fuel Pump for $148.68 .

Tank-to-pump fuel line is 1/2" (had to buy some to extend the line)

Inlet to pump here Generic M18x1.5 to 1/2 inch Barb Aluminum Fuel Oil Pump Inlet Straight Black Anodized Hose Barb Fitting Bare with AL Washer (male M18x1.5 to 12.7mm barb) $9.66

Outlet to pump here Banjo Adapter Kit for Bosch 044 Pump Outlet, 6AN $31.99 (I went a little nuts on that, there are way way cheaper options)

Piping is AN-6
Earl's fittings (hose end, EAR-165006ERL and EAR-165056ERL, don't have the part numbers for the 90 deg bends)
Fragola Performance Systems Swivels 498003-BL $14.99

1st pic: Removed old pump and carrier.

2nd pic: Bought one of these Dewhel fuel pump mount mounting bracket clamp cradle For BOSCH 044 Black for $13, drilled it, and cut one of the flanges off.

3rd pic: Installed pump

4th pic: Installed pump

Took me all day. Wired off the BLU/YEL fuel system with a dedicated 20a fuse and a 30a relay. 8' 10ga wire from the battery area to the pump, 6' 1/2" wire loom to house it.

Why not use OE type fuel filter?

Well my setup requires a 4 bar regulator and I'd rather not use the "tried-and-true" corvette filter/regulator (this one fits better too.) Good question though. I still probably could have used the OE filter and had an external regulator up in the engine bay somewhere. Eh, I just wanted to try this I guess.

Nice install, I did this on my car to keep the oem filter. yes it is faily loud but being that I have a full 3.5" exhaust on the car I have other noise issues.
