Can hear a hiss behind the dash, no guesses needed here.

What's involved in fixing it?

My fans pretty screwy anyway so if its too hard blocking would be a better option.

Sounds like it's coming from the buttons themselves, I know there's one behind the glovebox but that's fine.

If its the small thin vacuum hoses that go to the few opening/closing joints in the system then buy new vacuum hosing and replace. You will have to locate it (where the hissing is coming from) which means opening the dash, access is usually via under the dash area. Could be anything from one of those vacuum hoses finally fallen apart on ya, to the check valve for the vacuum system from the engine worn out, to a dieing blower fan. Who knows, you might just find a squirrel in there or something..
