It looks like the hose I use to flush my transmission.

Not really. I bought one from IPD and it leaked. They replaced it, but I think one is better off just using hose and a hose clamp.

Never had a leak with mine, but hose clamps and hose can work. I have their cloth covered kind.

OP: Is there a part number imprinted on the hose?

If so, google it to find out its purpose / intended application.

Hey, thank you - I certainly tried the obvious first to no avail. A lot of the numbers were rubbed off.
