Okay I went to PIR last night. I was the only Volvo there from the local crowd.

R/T- .007
60'- 2.328
1/4- 14.219
MPH- 97.30

I got in 10 runs from 14.9 to 14.2 in my 89 744. Biggest problem is traction. Plan is to get slicks and I'll need a helmet for next time. Fastest trap was 98.61. I won every race.

Nice work on that tree! :)
I do believe the west is off to a strong start for 2008. We may get this one by sheer numbers of racing volvos in the west.

what mods did you do that you gained almost 7mph trap speed .. that is a hell of a jump

or was that first pass you gave to me with the 745 and this with the 744? well the best of the two is going up so

Mike, he was indeed in the 745 before, and the 744 this time. And, we just finished racing again tonight... He turned up the boost to 17psi and not sure what else(aside from race gas) and did a best of 13.7@101.5mph tonight... :-D With a 2.1 or 2.2 60', if I remember correctly. Not bad for a car that MIGHT've cost him $500 to put together. Maybe it's more, but I don't think so, he'll chime in.

And I put down in the NA AT 244:
60' - 2.552(can't wait until I can do a 2.0 later this year :doh::roll:)
1/8 - 11.207@63.07
1/4 - 17.486@77.88

Yeah baby, my 89 744 sedan with 220k I bought for $600 a couple months ago as my divorce present last night at PIR. Vids and photos to come later.

I changed the tires since the 14.2 I ran couple weeks ago and also upped the boost past 15 pounds. I also put in the IPD lowering springs. On the weight home weighted in at 2850 with me in it and a half tank of gas still. I did 12 runs and won all but one against an 850 when my clutch pedal stuck to the floor during a shift.

video of the whole night.

Lookin good Simon! Are you still on street tires?
The West is killin' it by sheer numbers alone! lol. Nice work!

Yes, he's still on street tires. 2.0 and even 1.9s have been seen on street tires before(and slicks). His 101.5mph run was on his 13.77x run I guess, so not as fast as this one. I wish his clutch pedal didn't stick to the floor(???) on a few of his other runs though, he had some more speedy ones that got ruined that way.

Oh, and Simon, I couldn't even tell you put the IPD springs on it, it still looked high(if I remember correctly)! I told you to chop those!!! :-P

I just ran at Woodburn yesterday I will scan the time slip in soon.
