Fuel/Spark tuning for LH 2.4/EZK with TunerPro!

Ok, I did change those two things. I just wanted to make sure there weren't three different things I had to change.

Specifically the
AMM Signal Multiplication factors:
LOW: 81 and HIGH: 153

and the

AMM signal lookup table before conversion:

I added the actual values that are being changed here so someone doesn't have to look further for it... Also, looking back at what I tried running the other day on the General Leif, it looks like I didn't have the HIGH value set to 153 to match like I thought I did. I'll try it again today or Friday!

Going OT somewhat - can you elaborate on what you used to monitor the knock sensor?
There's also the Knocksense thing that goes in between the knock sensor and the factory harness connector that gives you an adjustable sensitivity LED light.

Hi

There are also a checksum plugin that IpDown made for the Tunerpro.
It is available on the site under the downloads/tools category.
It is called LHCSum.dll

To activate it you need to put it in the main tunerpro folder.
Also the actual XDF has to have it added under the checksum plugin option

When all is OK a simple save on the save icon will update the checksum then just upload again to LH to correct the used binary

Success! No issues running the 012 AMM data with the proper related information. I don?t know if the ECU is using the full range of load cells on the map because I couldn?t look at a computer while on the track, but I got the car running well enough as is with the AFR pretty close. Hopefully we?ll get it on a dyno to dial things in further.

I can confirm that yes, TP and LH Editor work on W10 but with the plugin there's no need for the editor. Just make sure once you're done doing your realtime tuning that you save the tune before you do a final upload to the ostritch, otherwise the plugin won't update the checksum on the Ostrich.

Quick question - swapping 2.4lh into an early car with a mechanical speedo- could the tables be adjusted enough to remove the need for a speed signal?

Cheers

I downloaded it and dragged it into the Tunerpro folder, but where is the checksum plugin option in the XDF?

Hi Kyle

step by step :-)

Top left choose XDF menu
Edit XDF header info
Bottom panes "checksums"
Add new
plug in module, choose most logical :oogle:
Save

Good to go

Hi all!

I guess that there have been a lot of people that have tried to find out about the CEL light problem when tuning, is there anything written about it that I can read up on? If someone have done a lot of work but didn’t fin anything I want to start we’re they gave up :)

I was told that it was impossible to not get the CEL light when tuning the LH, then I tried to find some info about it.
Definitely not true. If you have a check engine light it means your tune isn't good and/or you didn't correct the checksum. See below for how to correct the checksum through tunerpro after you get the plugin mentioned above.

Got it, thanks!

Bump.

Got my ostrich and wide band a couple days ago. I've already been playing with the ostrich a bit and have a 967 bin with an 012 table running in a 946 ecu on my 90 740T. It already runs more smoothly than the 563 the car came with. I'm planning to install the wide band tomorrow so that I can really dig in and play with the fueling.

Many thanks to beepee, mrjaybeeze, and ipdown for doing the hard work pioneering this. I've been watching this thread for a few years and am excited to finally start playing with it.

I noticed a lot of old links have disappeared if they weren't a part of the info archive by ipdown on his site. Does anyone still have some of the old disassembled code? I've always been bad at asm, but it would be nice if we could get some of that info together to facilitate any future dev.
