Vancity Volvos

Saw this winner last week at McDonald's:

Also spotted:

Strathcona area.

I do like the cursive 'turbo' on the grille.

I saw this recently also:

Made me laugh, I don't know what this Maserati is worth, but the owner is apparently too cheap to get a front plate mount sorted out.

Zipties, on a Maserati.

That can't be good for airflow. Maybe it's the winter-only scheme, cleverly occluding part of the radiator to compensate for the cold air temperatures.

In the summer they will configure the plate to be a spoiler, with more zipties.

You sure got some purdy Swedish cars up there in Van-city!
Do you ever see any Grandmas... driving... Sideways? :ninja:

This thread makes me miss Vancouver. Visiting is enough though, I'd only be able to afford a 240 out there with all the taxes and cost of living there!

I always love seeing old Volvos on the streets here. They're not just things to collect, but they're cars that are still being used today. Take this lovely 242 DL I snapped at Park Royal the other day:

And speaking of the North Shore, I always see this bloke around. Every season he has these rims, but I think it'd look much better with bigger ones!

Keep an eye out for the Darth Wagon. I'll be moving down there in the spring!

Athal,

O RLY?

Welcome to the PacNW (or PacSW for Canada)... Guess that means that you'll be able to get rust-free parts by hitting up the Seattle area Pick-n-Pull yards.
