Matt's 1983 242DL +T Project

I got the car with 2 dead fuel pumps and it proceeded to kill a few more intank pumps before I decided to put in a Walbro 255. My original goal with the car was: 1994 B230FT, 16v head, HX35, Megasquirt and a T5 trans since I did have all the parts. That plan went out the window this year and I'm still trying to sell everything. Now I'm just enjoying the car as it is.

Mods so far are:
IPD Panhard Bar
IPD Sways 25/23
Yoshifab Torque Rods
GT Upper Braces
GT Lower Braces
GT Strut Reinforcement Plates
<strike>Summit Racing Rear Shocks</strike>
Koni Race shocks
7" rounds
GT Grille and fogs

<strike>Corvette Salad Shooters</strike>
<strike>16x9.5 Riken Mesh</strike>
16x9.5 ARE 398s

90+ Manifold with Turbonetics Evolultion external wastegate

so....you have GTA wheels and you're running salad shooters???? :wtf:

car looks good, not a HUGE fan of the rusty hood, but i see that you're planning on fixing that, so alls well.

Theyr'e not GTA wheels, I'm afraid you're going to question my sanity even more. The mesh wheels pictures are 16" Epsilon Southern Ways. They need to get refinished

Thanks. The rusted hood will most likely be gone and my other flathood will be on for Carlisle

It's been awhile so where do I begin?

The car went into my buddy's garage during the first week of December

Of course I left the windows open in a very dusty garage

Managed to only break one exhaust manifold stud and it drove me crazy for 2 weeks since I couldn't get it out

Oh, you're going to ask why I took the exhaust manifold off. To make way for a 15G mounted on a 90+ set up for an external wastegate.
There's a glimpse of the intercooler too

Innovate Wideband, VDO Boost Gauge, OEM 5 Bar Oil Pressure gauge with a bad sender and an OEM Volt gauge...don't forget the clock too

The car is in winter mode so the salad shooters are off and are going to be sold

New wheels arrived today and they're 16x9.5 and of 80s vintage

Boost creep is an issue with the current wastegate so it will be swapped to a Turbonetics Evolution one which will hopefully open at ~5psi instead of never opening

The setup is now:
15G, 90+ and external wastegate
orange tops
541 ECU
CXRacing Intercooler
740 Downpipe which needs to get shortened

Still need to wire in the EZK but waiting for some warmer weather

I don't currently have any pictures of the engine bay but I will once the weather warms up and I can clean the mess I created
