Indeed! Will not pass tech inspection either. Just looking out for your safety. The threads should be at minimum flush with the outer part of the nut, but a few threads extended is best. I like the wheels BTW.

FWIW, I'm using the same wheels on my LS swap 240 project with an 8.8 rear end.
55Superbeetle used them on his legendary turbo LS 242 also:

Well the the morning started out with me throwing on the exhaust manifolds and turbo kit


I ended up finishing the entire heap today and got it to the point where I could run it. I need to modify one trans cooler line because of the late model 80e




Engine runs perfect, time for some rest. Ended up tearing the heads off, throwing in new lifters, ls9 head gaskets and head bolts
