So my ignition computer to go with my brand spankin new Barton harness hasn't arrived yet but I decided to make sure it would at least crank over. It won't. Battery is at ~12.3v, engine is grounded fine, solenoid wire gets 12v with key turned, and I hear nothing from the starter. And yes, it's in neutral.

No cranks are easy!

Try jumping 12v direct from the starter large wire to the solenoid terminal. The inboard one!

If that doesn't work do a very good inspection of the cables. Try voltage drop tests and maybe you will find a bad connection.

Yeah, it was plugged into the wrong spade on the solenoid. I dunno why there's two, but it's working fine now.
