So I've got a "built" B20 in the 145 with a ported/polished F head, double valve springs, 9.5:1 SCR, and an Isky vv71 cam (.428" lift 268 duration).
At the moment, I'm running SU HIF 6's which I know aren't ideal for maximum performance from this setup, however it runs pretty well. I know I have a cam that's meant for being wrung out at higher RPM, but I'd like to make it a little more traffic friendly.
Will a long runner intake like the E/F intake manifold shift the powerband down in the rev range somewhat? I know I'll lose top-end performance, but I'd like a little more grunt down low.
Practically speaking, it should, but I'm sure there's some voodoo I'm not aware of.
