![]() I realized this weekend that my exhaust is a bit too loud. Some previous owner put in a glass pack and crappy muffler that have both rusted out. I would normally just replace the two offenders with a better muffler but the stock exhaust is tiny. What is a good size to go up to with a B18? I have the dual port manifold so I will likely keep that instead of a header. I plan to put in a D cam, put dual SU HS6s back on it and bump the compression up to 10:1 or so.

![]() A two inch system with a muffler under the floor in front of the axle in the stock location works well. In the rear Volvo normally put a resonator. I recommend a resonator or a exhaust tip with a resonator in it to reduce the raspiness. For the front pipe coming off the engine manifold. You can buy the Fuel injection front pipe for a 140 series. This is a two inch exhaust and works well.

![]() The 2" is a great system, fits very well and you can't beat the price. I love the sporty sound and it's extremely comfortable at cruising speed down the freeway.
