B23FT with a 16 valve head

Hello,

I'm thinking of putting a 16 valve head on my B23FT. What would the compession ratio be for this combination?

Speaking of specs... I've searched for several different specs on this board, and I can rarely find what I need. Does anyone have specs for the RWD Volvo engines (deck height, piston compression height, bore, piston dish/dome size, combustion chamber sizes, valve sizes, turbo sizes, stock boost levels, stock hp/torque ratings, sizes/compositions of internals, blah blah blah)?

I know some of this is out there . . it would just be great to have it all in one place.

Thanks.

It might be better to ask what the combustion chamber size is of a stock 16V head and then calculate CR once you know what pistons you're using. I do not know the CC size of the 16V, but plenty of people here should be able to provide that info. Look through Ryan Wynott's page about his 16V turbo project: http://bertone.wynott.ca/htm/dohc16v.htm

OK.

Compression ratio: http://www.turbobricks.com/specs.php?content=specs_cr

Boost levels: http://www.turbobricks.com/specs.php?content=specs_boost

Combustion chamber sizes & valve sizes: http://www.turbobricks.com/specs.php?content=sohc_heads

Power ratings: http://wwwrsphysse.anu.edu.au/~amh110/Technical_pages/turbo_engine_ouputs.htm

That's about half, all linked from this site. The bore size for the B21 is 92mm and for the B23/230 is 96mm. The B21/23 have the big 13mm rods, as do the late B230FT ('89/'90+, but the b230 uses a different length of rod). B23FT pistons are forged, but all other turbo pistons are some form of cast (B21FT called "reinforced cast").

Here is the 16V piston side by side with the 8V turbo. Not that it has anything to do with your question. Seeing them side by side made me feel better though.
